About Dr. Alyssa Daniel

A Charlotte, NC native, I have dedicated my career to helping patients navigate the complexities of hair loss with a personalized, science-backed approach. I attended UNC Chapel Hill for both my undergraduate and medical degrees before completing my dermatology training at Wake Forest University in the Department of Dermatology, where I refined my expertise in hair and scalp disorders.

In 2017, I founded a medical hair loss clinic in Charlotte, developing comprehensive treatment protocols tailored to various forms of hair thinning and scalp conditions. Over the years, I have managed a private practice, expanded my services into Novant Health in 2020, and currently see patients at Metrolina Dermatology Billingsley, where I specialize in procedural hair loss treatments, including anti-inflammatory protocols and platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy.

My dedication to patient care and innovation in hair restoration has earned me recognition as a Top Doctor for seven consecutive years (2019–2025). In 2019, I was also honored as a “Woman to Watch” for my contributions to dermatology and hair restoration. Beyond clinical practice, I am passionate about medical education and serve as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at UNC School of Medicine, where I contribute to the training of future dermatologists.

Through my teledermatology hair loss practice, I bring this same level of expertise to patients seeking specialized care from the comfort of their homes. My approach blends traditional dermatologic treatments with integrative solutions to address the root causes of hair loss and restore confidence in my patients.
